He is coauthor of Energy Future: Report of the Energy Project at the Harvard Business School, a seminal work on energy policy that was a best-seller in the United States, Europe, and Japan.


  Yergin is president of Cambridge Energy Research Associates, one of the world's leading energy consulting firms. He was previously a Lecturer at the Harvard Business School and the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. He received a B.A. from Yale University and a Ph.D. from Cambridge University, where he was a Marshall Scholar. List of Maps
