  • ¡¡¡¡In the long history£¬ countless treasures of the Chinese culture and art have been accumulated£¬ attracting worldwide attention. Nevertheless£¬ a lot of classic cultures and techniques have nearly faded away. There for£¬ it is every Chinese person\'s responsibility to save these cultural pearls and present them to the world again. And many people of vision are devoting themselves to this cause quietly. The technique of shaping gourds is one of those techniques on the verge of extinction. With great passion and firm determination£¬ Jin Jianmin has painstakingly explored£¬ sorted out and inherited the technique. In the meantime he keeps innovating and carrying it forward.
    ¡¡¡¡Out of interest£¬ Jin Jianmin started his hard and lonely art career of shaping pattern gourds more than 20 years ago. Far from the crowd£¬ he keeps digging the once vanished traditional technique£¬ indifferent to fame and wealth and thinking little about gain and loss. Meanwhile£¬ he has been constantly studying the state of gourds growing in moulds£¬ thus making many exquisite gourd works. Jin Jianmin undertakes the tasks of designing£¬ painting£¬ making moulds£¬ planting and post processing etc all by himself. The cute gourd perfectly blends agriculture with artistic creation£¬ the nature and the humanity. Jin Jr.\'s works of shaped pattern gourds are carefully and innovatively designed£¬ and have various shapes£¬ rich ornamentation and propitious message. The shaped gourd that he makes is not merely a vessel but involves such a wide variety of Chinese culture and art symbols as traditional Chinese painting£¬ carving£¬ seal cutting and calligraphy. While combining the essence of many fields£¬ such as literature£¬ folk custom and agricultural technology£¬ it also inherits rich and colorful contents and forms of traditional Chinese culture£¬ thus becoming real work of art. Jin Jianmin gives his gourds particular features and promotes their art level. He has also facilitated the technique to be included in The Fourth Batch of Beijing Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection List of Representative Items £¨Beijing Shi Di Si Pi Shi Ji Fei Wuzhi Wenhua Yichan Baohu Ming Lu£© in 2014. Therefore£¬ he is honored as a person of outstanding talent in shaping pattern gourds by modern experts.
