　　TheIUAESisoneofthememberorganizationsoftheInternationalSocialScienceCouncil(ISSC)andalsooftheIntemationalCouncilforPhilosophyandHumanisticStudies(CIPSH).TheIUAESisalsoamemberoftheIntemationalCouncilofScientificUruons(ICSU).Itsaimistoenhanceexchangeandcommunicationamongscholarsofall
　　regionsoftheworld，inacollectiveefforttoexpandhumanknowledge.Inthiswayithopestocontributetoabetterunderstandingofhumansociety，andtoasustainablefuturebasedonharmonybetweennatureandculture.TheIUAESoncenotedadraftstatementonthefutureofworldanthropologyin“CurrentAnthropology”(1979)：“Thescopeof
　　anthropologyintermsofareasofhumaninterestincludessuchcriticalissuesofthecontemporaryworldasproblemsofenvironmentalmanagement，pressurefortheprogressivereductionofdisparitiesandtherestructuringoftheworldorder，thefutureofthenation-state，ethnicpluralismandthefutureofnationalsociety，andtheharmonizationoftherolesandfunctionsofinstitutionswiththebasicandderivedbiologicalandpsychicdrivesofman”.TheIUAESitselfconsistsofnationalandinstitutionalorganizationsinmorethan50countriesinallpartsoftheworld，andalsoincludessomehund：redsofindividualmembers.TheresearcheffortandinvolvementoftheIUAESisprincipallyarrangedbyitsscientificcommissions，ofwhich，currently，therearetwenty-seven，andeachofwhichconcentratesonsomeareaofanthropologicalinterest.Theyincludedethnicrelations，agingandtheaged，women，children，youth，migration，epidemiologyandAids，tourism，primatology，linguistics，andsoon. 1.AgingandtheAged
